European Parliament Working Group on Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, and Development (EPWG)  functions as the contact between the Parliament, civil society and international organisations working on sexual and reproductive health and rights.

With the support of Marie Stopes International IPPF and many others, we are focusing on the prevention of unsafe abortions.

One of the recent successes has been the Post-2015 goals, which helped secure good Council conclusions for the intergovernmental UN negotiations that are going on at the moment. We have also need to secure the forthcoming vote on annual human rights report.

Fourth of March we will organise an event on EU actions and contributions to sexual and reproductive health and rights where Commissioner Mimica has been invited.

Now we will track the EU’s development funding to see how it works in favour or against the sexual and reproductive health and rights.

It is time to join forces. Our opponents are very well organised. I also invite the MEPs involved in #ALLofUS to join EPWG.
