Chairwoman Hautala took part as a speaker in a seminar “Ensuring rights for all in Europe: Challenges for the Council of Europe and the European Union” in Clingendael institute, the Hague, Netherlands on 2. November. In the seminar the ways to enhance the complementary interaction and intensify cooperation between these two institutions in the European human rights field were discussed in detail. Chairwoman Hautala called for building a stronger partnership in this field especially once the Treaty of Lisbon will come into force.
