One of the priorities of Chairwoman Hautala during her chairwomanship of the Subcommittee is to enhance the cooperation between the human rights institutions in Europe, especially with the Council of Europe. To discuss this, Ms. Hautala met Ambassador of the European Commission to the Council of Europe, Ms Luisella Pavan-Woolfe. During the discussion it was agreed that there is much room for cooperation and that the competencies of these two institutions can complement each other in a significant manner.
